Ugandan Man Rapes Married Blind Woman
Police in the Central Uganda district of Kayunga have arrested a 42 yr old man for raping a married blind woman.
According to police, the incident took place in a village called Kayonza in Kayunga district,
Police officer Meddie Saka said that the arrested man has been identified as Wilber Muiru,42. He said that Muiru was arrested by the husband of the blind woman who laid a trap to catch him.
He said that Muiru had raped the blind woman several times when the man is away at his place of work. Whenever he raped the woman, she reported it to he husband.
On the fateful day, the man did not go to work as he did every day but instead, he went and hid in the bush near his home. He was in the bush for about two hours when Muiru came and entered the house.
Immediately he saw the rapist entering his house, he ran to the village chief’s home and reported the incident. The chief called a few villagers and they went to arrest the rapist.
They caught him in the act of raping the woman. They beat him up and made him walk to the police post, which is about 4 kilometers away while without his trousers.
He was later transferred to Kayunga police station from where he is supposed to be taken to court to be charged with rape.
