No, That’s Not What We Mean by a Night Nurse! Ugandan Intern Nurse Arrested for a Fetish that Involves Pregnant Women

A Ugandan intern nurse has been detained over allegations of raping patients at the Entebbe Grade B Hospital. The man in question has been identified as Denis Kutesa. According to Kampala Metropolitan deputy police spokesperson, Luke Owoyesigyire, Denis has been arrested over allegations of rape and attempted rape on two female patients at the hospital.

The  Entebbe Grade B hospital is 30 km east of the country’s capital Kampala. According to theMonitor, the police spokesperson affirmed justice will be delivered, “Kampala Metropolitan Police are currently investigating the allegations; the suspect identified his victims from the gynecology ward and then doused them using a substance suspected to be chloroform before raping them.”

Police suspect that there are other women that could have been raped by the nurse but did not report it to the police. Previous victims have been urged to report to the police, “We would like to inform the public that it is possible that there may be more victims of Kutesa Denis’ alleged crimes, and we urge anyone who may have been a victim to come forward and report to the nearest police station. We take all allegations of sexual assault very seriously, and we are committed to ensuring that justice is served for all victims.”

A police officer who led the team that arrested Kutesa, James Okaya said that he was arrested on allegations of raping 4 female patients and attempted rape on two others at the hospital.

He said that as they carry out investigations on the alleged rape, Kutesa will remain detained at the Entebbe Central Police Station.

According to allegations, the suspect identified his victims from the gynecology ward and then drugged them using a substance suspected to be chloroform before raping them.

Suspected chloroform substances were recovered from his place of residence at the hospital. In the meantime, police have found a letter the suspect wrote to a well-known Kampala pastor, pleading for divine intervention to cast out the spirit that drives him to rape women. The letter was found in the suspect’s room.

The hospital director Mr. Steven Kyebambe condemned the act, “As we speak, the culprit has been apprehended and investigations are ongoing. We condemn that act. We have taken measures and assure the public this kind of thing will not appear again in our hospital.”
