Soldier fresh from action in Somalia killed for going out with a 24-year-old-girl
Soldier killed by son
A Ugandan soldier who had just returned home from peace keeping mission in war torn Somalia is dead after he was killed by his own son.
The incident took place at Buworobo village, western Uganda district of Kabarole located about 300 kms away from the country’s capital of Kampala.
According to preliminary investigations carried out by police, the son killed his father after he abandoned his mother and started going out with a 24 year old girl.
According to police criminal investigations department officer, Stanley Ojambo, the dead soldier has been identified as 49-year-old private Bob Muwuza. He was reportedly killed by his 20-year-old Dick Sebu.
“It is alleged that Dick Sebu was not happy about his father leaving his mother and spending the much money he returned with from Somalia with another woman,” said Ojambo.
Eye witnesses claim that they saw Sebu stabbing his father with a sharp knife at about 7.30PM. He later fled to a neighboring village where he spent the night.
He was, however, arrested barely 12 hours later as he attempted to flee to the another district.
Enid Mbana, the wife and the mother of the killer son, has reportedly fled from the village but police are hunting for her. They want to establish if she connived with her son to kill her husband.
Bryan Mugali, the brother of the deceased said that they suspect that the deceased’ wife fled with over 3 million shillings which her husband had kept in the house.
