Sex in Uganda: Man hacks wife to death for denying him sex for months before slitting his throat
Man kills wife over lack of sex
A 50-year-old man is lying in a morgue in Uganda after hacking his wife to death before slitting his own throat over sex.
Police have identified the man as Clovis Mande and the woman killed as Lovisa Baindana.
“When we reached the home of the deceased we interviewed the children and they told us that they heard their parents fighting in their bedroom at around 3.00am.” Police officer, Micheal Musagala said.
Mr. Musagala told the media that the police were called by the deceased’s neighbours who told them that a couple had died the previous night.
The incident took place in the western Uganda city of Fort portal, about 350 kms away from Uganda’s capital Kampala.
It is the couples children who alerted their neighbours about the gruesome murder. According to a friend of the late Mande, he had told him that his wife had for over 3 months denied him sex and so frustrated he was over lack of sex that he felt like killing her.
On the fateful night, the man and his wife locked themselves in their bedroom and when Mande demanded to have sex with his wife she refused.
“They said that their father was asking their mother why she does not want to sleep with him. Later their mother cried loudly saying the father had cut her with a machete and then silence followed.” said Police officer, Micheal Musagala
After hacking his wife to death, the man also killed himself. Early in the morning, the children forced their way into their parents room only to find both of them dead. The father had cut his throat.
Police found the machete used in the killing smeared with blood.
