Ugandan Man in Mbarara Turns Into a Pain in the Ass
Mbarara police have launched an investigation into a case involving Tumushabe Nelson, a male adult businessman operating in Mbarara Central Market. He’s facing allegations of sodomy and trafficking a 22-year-old male resident of Kisenyi cell, Kakoba ward in Mbarara City.
The reported incident unfolded during the late hours of October 10, 2023, at 1:00 AM. It’s alleged that the suspect enticed the victim with the promise of a job, taking advantage of his desperate search for employment in Mbarara City. The victim had first encountered the suspect on the previous day, October 9, 2023, around 7:30 PM at Mailo two on Masaka Road. The suspect, posing as an acquaintance, initiated a conversation with the victim.
The victim confided in the suspect throughout their talk about his desire to find employment, and the suspect assured him of employment. On October 10, 2023, about 1:00 a.m., the suspect took the victim to his home in the same neighborhood.
The victim and the alleged suspect allegedly had non consensual anal intercourse there after the suspect allegedly threatened the victim.
The suspect treated the victim to breakfast the next morning before accompanying them to Mbarara Central Market, where the suspect worked.
The suspect warned the victim, who did not have a national identity card, that it would be difficult to get work at this point. The victim then informed the police about the event.
According to Samson Kasasira, the Rwizi area Police spokeswoman, a specialized team examined the victim medically and found inflammation confirming sodomy. 22 containers of personal lubricants, 52 condoms, 19 strips from HIV testing kits, and 2 containers of antiretroviral medications (ARVs) were among the key evidence found at the scene after further examination.
These revelations led to the capture of the suspect.
