Guy meets girl, typically via a dating app, since people are increasingly meeting online rather than offline nowadays so what’s to fear?.

On her profile, the girl might have some information in her bio that reads: I love to travel, I love to laugh — the usual non-descript fluff commonly found on so many women’s profiles, sounds family?

More often than not, nothing immediately stands out that this girl is out for money. Not that it matters. Most guys could care less about the bio, so long as the girl is hot.

These types of girls are, on average, more attractive when compared to the typical woman found on these apps. And they are keenly aware the number one tool in their arsenal is sexual attractiveness, so they go the extra mile to ensure they post aesthetically appealing photos. But it doesn’t just end there.

Here are crafty ways women use to trick and trap men to give them money.

Step One: Go on expensive dates

Going on dates is extremely important for the girl looking for a come-up. It’s the best way to get close to someone and to see if they are who they say they are. The idea is to form a relationship with a guy she meets online. If she can get him to fall in love, so much the better.

She knows people will go to great lengths to please those they love. And that his desperate need to be loved and desired will blind him from the truth.

Once on a date, she will look out for a couple of things that determine if a second date will happen.

Does he offer to pay? Take her out to an upscale location? Or even bring a gift?

The more of a giver he is, the higher the odds she will want to continue dating him. Otherwise, that will be the last he will hear from her.

As the relationship progresses, she will make sure to: compliment, listen to his problems, ask him about his day, pretty much anything a girlfriend would do, except have sex with him, of course. Any bonafide aspiring gold-digger (or women well versed in the game of love) knows you don’t have to sleep with a man to get money out of him. Just the possibility of sex is enough to keep guys on the hook.

Should the guy insist on having sex, she can easily disarm him by saying things like: I’m not that kind of girl or I prefer to wait “x” amount of months. Making him wait might end up working in her favor. Some guys buy into the silly belief that women who hold out on sex are wholesome good girls, even if the truth is anything but.

Step Two: Make him think he’s in love

Once the guy is all in emotionally, the rest is a piece of cake.

By now, he is probably already spending money on dates and gifts unprompted. Still, it’s never enough.

At this point, a common tactic to siphon more money is to make up a crisis. And it doesn’t matter what it is, so long it’s something that requires immediate action. For example:

• Replacing a broken phone with an even more expensive one.
• A hefty bill that needs settling.
• Or even a brand new car to replace an old one that keeps breaking down.

Most guys will pay, and they will do so with eagerness. After all, they think it’s their duty as men. Little do they know the requests will only get grander and grander as time goes on.

Alternatively, some girls will just bypass the whole fake crisis scenario and cut to the chase by straight up asking. If someone is already spending money taking you out on lavish dates, asking for money at this stage can be just as effective.

Some girls are so cunning. By pointing out the benefits a purchase will have for him, they can easily convince a guy they are with to spend big while making him feel like it was actually his idea.

That grand trip at his expense: well, he has been stressed out at work, so a vacation is in order.

And that expensive dress: it will look sexy on his girl and thus make him look good by association when they are out together.

It’s sad that so many men have been conditioned into believing that to get cooperation from women, they have to be a provider/breadwinners. And it’s unfortunate that some women will take advantage of this deep-rooted belief. But as the saying goes: all is fair in love and war.

Bottom Line: Men need to smarten up

I do not condone finessing men, or anyone, for that matter.

At the same time, I don’t have any problems with people that date for material gains, so long as they are honest about it. I have far more respect for a sugar daddy, sugar baby relationship that starts out with everyone in agreement and on the same page.

Deceiving men into thinking you are interested in them and not for their money is wrong. If a sugar daddy is what you want, it’s best to be upfront and honest about it. More than likely, you will find guys who are perfectly okay with such an arrangement.

For the men who fall prey to these tricks women play. All I can say is that you need to learn “game”.
