Singer Iyanya Surprised As Yvonne Nelson Shares Their Relationship Escapades In New Book

Ghanian actress Yvonne Nelson has shared details of how she found out that her ex-boyfriend singer Iyanya was cheating on her with Tonto Dinkeh. She revealed this in her memoir, dubbed ” I am not Yvonne Nelson” which was launched on Sunday, June 18, 2023.

The actress shed light on the escapades she had with the singer and how she found out that she was cheating on her in a chapter titled, “Iyanya and My Love Life”. Yvonne revealed that she thought she would end up together with Iyanya since the latter gave her a shout-out on his hit song, ” Ur Waist” and went ahead to tattoo her initials YN on his waist.

She said that she was shocked when someone revealed the shocking news to her “The caller said anytime I left Iyanya’s place, another actress come over to him and sometimes slept over. The person felt strongly that there was something going on between them and thought I should know. That actress turned out to be Tonto Dikeh of Nigeria and one of the female celebrities Iyanya named in his “Ur Waist” song. When I was convinced about the authenticity of the information I received, I was heartbroken,” part of the memoir reads.

Yvonne further said that she knew she would eventually leave the relationship even if Toto Dinkeh did not come into the picture adding that she did not find any reason to fight for a man she had already lost. The actress who has been featured in more than 100 movies, started dating Iyanya in 2012. Their love was in the public eye for a long time however their love story came to an end in 2015.

Reacting to Yvonne’s revelation in a post on Twitter,  Iyanya quoted her tweet asking her why she was revealing too much information. Iyanya wrote, “Isn’t this too much information? Is this also in the book?”

Thereafter he shared a follow-up screenshot of the book’s chapters and started with the one that had his name on it. Iyanya also posted another tweet saying, “So Yvonne Nelson said I cheated on her with Tonto Dike? Oh wow. I’ll respond to this later. I no go write a book,”

Earlier before the release of the book, in an interview session with media personality Chude Jideonwo, the singer, said it was difficult for him to date a celebrity. He revealed that most were afraid of becoming housewives. During the interview he said,

“If you fall in love with a female celebrity, and you try to change her, she’s going to rebel. Because the first thing to her is ‘I’m the queen, I’m out there on stage’, now you want to turn her into a housewife? There are so many times I’m going to put on my shows, my tours, and say to you, ‘You can’t be on tour with me because I’m trying to focus’, and you’re going to misunderstand all that. So it’s a whole lot of things.”What I’m trying to do now, honestly, is just to sort myself out before I can start bringing one girl again into my life. I’m just trying to make sure I’m okay.”
