Cheap sex on the move you don’t even need to book a room
With COVID19 negatively affecting the economy in Uganda, sex workers are devising new ways of attracting customers at the most affordable prices.
In the eastern Uganda town of Jinja, along Nairobi-Kampala highway, sex workers have resorted to selling cheap sex to men literally on their feet. The sex workers are now serving clients while standing and facing walls.
Forced by circumstances
According to one of the sex workers only identified as Kawomera, they realized that unless they became creative, they would not get customers due to scarcity of money.
”Before COVID19 lockdown we used to make a lot of money. On average each of us could be fucked by at least 4 men at 10,000 shillings each. But currently, we lack male clients because most do not have money.”
The sex workers operate around Nasanga bar opposite Main street primary school. After the bar and shops close at night, the sex workers turn the walls behind the buildings into an arena of sex play.
No one has UGsh 5000 shillings to pay for lodgings
Kawomera says before the COVID-19 pandemic the men had fork out 5000 shillings to pay for lodgings to play sex but at the moment the escorts do sex in the open to cut costs.

Ever since the sex workers came up with the idea of having sex while standing, many men have flocked to the place to buy cheap sex on the move.
”We now make a reasonable amount of money because many men can afford to buy at 2000 shillings. Each of us can get ten men per day which is not bad,” said Deborah, a seasoned sex worker.
Having sex while standing is not easy
Not everything is that simple though. One of the male clients who frequent the place for cheap sex says having sex while standing is not easy.
”Man, it is cheap but not comfortable. Playing sex while standing is not easy. One can easily fall as he ejaculates. That moment makes one loses his senses and if they are not strong enough they can easily fall and collapse on the ground.”
Shopkeepers have also moved and complained to the town council over littered used condoms they find around their shops every morning.
