Men are giving women a run for their money

The oldest profession in the world is witnessing a new trend in the Kenyan coastal city of Mombasa.

Some men have now moved in to give women a run for their money in the flesh business. 

With clients in short supply due to coronavirus pandemic keeping most clients at bay after the government announced the implementation of dusk to dawn national curfew, business is hard, to say the least.

This, however, hasn’t discouraged some men to take to the street to ostensibly woo customers but they are doing it in style.

How they catch clients’ eye

So as to entice unwitting “customers, the men are wearing veils akin to those won by religious women. They cover themselves in buibui (veils) to attract customers on the lookout for something ‘exotic.’

But woe unto a man who falls for this trick for they will get more than they bargained for. The sleazy men pounce on them and literally rob them blind before they can say ‘Timbuktu’.

“Kuingia Mombasa ni raha kutoka ni matanga” is a popular Swahili phrase which summarizes life in Mombasa. Mombasa County has a few extra things compared to the rest of the country namely white sandy beaches, rich coastal tradition and culture and historic sites and buildings to name but just a few that make it the perfect background for sex and the city.. It is this reason that foreign and local tourists can’t get enough of it.

There are a number of places you can buy sex in Mombasa City. Digo Road, Moi Avenue, Jomo Kenyatta Avenue, Haile Sellasie Avenue and Mtwapa are some of the popular places you can easily buy sex like buying sweets in a shop.

Some escorts also camp at matatu termini to look for clients. Keep in mind that smiling at the escorts or making eye contact with them is a sign that you are interested, and they’ll soon get down to business and haggle over price.
