Ugandan Church Followers Want Church Cleansed After Lovers Sneak In To Have Sex

Worshippers in Uganda have vowed not to go back to a church that is located in Kayunga District after a couple was caught having sex in the church altar. The couple; a married 23-year-old male and a recently divorced Muslim lover were caught having sex by the man’s wife who raised alarm drawing the attention of nearby residents.
Bugonya LC1 chairman George William Kanda reported, “The two were arrested amid condemnation from residents. A headgear belonging to the woman and a T-shirt for the man is being kept at the Local Council’s (LC) residence as exhibits.

They accessed the church through the windows since the doors were shut.”An irate mob frogmarched the couple to the chairman’s office who later set them free after he filed a promiscuity case against them. He reported that the man later went into hiding and his whereabouts remain unknown. Kanda said, “A case does not rot. He will answer for his sin anytime he comes back,”
Congregants from Bugonya Church of Uganda are now demanding church cleansing in order to sanctify the premises. Church leaders labelled the incident as sinful and shocking as well and urged their flock to fast following the incident.
