Young Ugandan Couple Die in Domestic Violence
The Police in Uganda have confirmed that on the night of January 23, 2024, a deeply disturbing incident unfolded at Kireku Railway Zone in Wakiso district.
According to deputy police spokesman,Luke Oweyesigire, approximately 11.30 am, the Defense Secretary, Mr. Waiswa Latif, received reports from concerned residents about blood seeping from a locked house. Upon breaking the locked door , the lifeless bodies of Acen Jesca (29) and Ogwal Kenneth (28) were discovered.
As reported by NilePost, Kampala Metropolitan Police deputy spokesperson Luke Owoyesigyire said “A police team secured the scene and gathered statements from neighbors, who revealed that the victims were a couple, suggesting a tragic outcome of domestic violence,”
“Preliminary findings exposed a grim reality where Jesca Acen bore multiple fresh wounds, particularly around her neck, while Ogwal Kenneth, presumed to be the assailant, had a cut around his neck.” said Owoyesigyire
The Defense Secretary promptly alerted Bweyogerere Police, initiating a swift response. A police team secured the scene and gathered statements from neighbors, who revealed that the victims were a couple, suggesting a tragic outcome of domestic violence. A knife, believed to be the murder weapon, was recovered at the scene.
The bodies of Acen Jesca and Ogwal Kenneth have been transported to KCCA mortuary Mulago for a thorough postmortem examination. The preliminary findings expose a grim reality: Acen Jesca bore multiple fresh wounds, particularly around her neck, while Ogwal Kenneth, presumed to be the assailant, had a cut around his neck. The crime scene paints a picture of a violent struggle, with bloodstains evident on the mattress.
