Despite rumors of mental health issues leading to the death of her late husbandIvan Ssemwanga, Zari Hassan, on social media, has honored the life lessons and moments shared between her and her ex-husband.
Zari’s late husband’s family alleged that she played a role in Ivan’s depression and untimely demise. According to Ghafla, Herbert Luyinda, the leader of Ivan’s family, implied that Ivan faced mental health issues post their breakup, triggered by learning about Zari’s pregnancy and her engagement to Diamond.
Following the resolution of the initial dispute between Zari and Ivan’s family, Pinto Ntale, Zari’s eldest son, was officially acknowledged as the heir to Ivan’s estates.
Zari Hassan, currently residing in South Africa, has been using social media to commemorate the birthday of her late ex-husband, Ivan Ssemwanga, who passed away five years ago.
In 2017, Ivan Ssemwanga succumbed to a heart attack while under the care of his ex-wife, Zari Hassan, at Steve Biko Hospital in Pretoria.
On May 25, 2017, a Thursday, he breathed his last. Zari extended a heartfelt birthday tribute to Ivan on Instagram, saying, “Happy birthday, hope the angels are celebrating with him.” The legacy lives on. Here’s to your birthday.
Throughout their marriage, Ivan and Zari were blessed with three sons.
Zari announced Ivan’s passing on her Instagram page, referring to it as the most challenging moment in her life. Despite moving forward from her relationship with Diamond Platnumz, she recalled Ivan’s counsel to embrace life fully and reflected on his inspiring and generous personality in her message.
“God loves those that are special and that’s exactly who you were and I guess that’s why he wanted you to himself. You have touched and helped thousands, you did wonders and I remember you telling me “life is too short let me live it to the fullest”, this very dark hour it makes sense why you always said those words to me,”
Zari is currently married to her younger Ugandan husband, Shakib Lutaya.
