A number of social media users believe that the two took part in a ceremony labelled Nikkah which validates marriage in Islam. The 42-year-old socialite got married to Shakib in Pretoria, South Africa on Sunday 16 April 2023.

The couple shared photos of the beautiful private ceremony which was attended by close relatives including Zari Hassan’s brother and sister. They shared photos dressed in wedding regalia and a video of them exchanging rings and showed them to the online community.
