Average Global Penis Length Has Increased By 24%. Is Online Pornography To Blame?
Why Has The Average Global Penis Length Increased Over The Last Thirty Years?
The global average length of the erect male penis has increased by 24% between 1991 and 2021 according to an analysis by an international team of researchers which was led by Urologists at Stanford University from over 75 studies with over 55,000 men.
Dr. Michael Eisenberg, the study’s author, was surprised by the analysis since he expected to see a decline in penis length only to be met with the exact opposite. “Given the trends we’d seen in other measures of men’s reproductive health, we thought there could be a decline in penile length due to the same environmental exposures,”
Experts believe that the change in penis length could be caused by many factors like binging on junk food and or pollution. Dr. Michael adds, “Chemical exposure to pesticides or hygiene products could be one of the various factors causing the quick growth. Such chemicals can disrupt the endocrine system, which regulates hormones.”
Dr. Larry Lipshultz, chief of the Scott Department of Urology’s Division of Male Reproductive Medicine and Surgery at Baylor College of Medicine, who was surprised at the results, shared his explanation, ruling out pornography as a possible cause for increased dick size.
“You might possibly blame online porn, but that’s just a theory, the more someone has erections, there might be greater potential for better erections. The tissue would stretch more, hence would get longer.”
