Stephanie Benson’s Take on Boobs-Sucking Preventing Cancer
Renowned Ghanaian female singer hailing from the UK, the fabulous Stephanie Benson, isn’t too pleased with the prevailing notion that breast cancer can be prevented through a little extra “sucktion.”
As the annual ‘Breast Cancer Awareness Month’ rolls around, the advice often circulates, suggesting that men should lend a hand, or rather, a mouth, in the noble quest to detect breast cancer. The idea is that some intimate attention can help with early detection.
However, in a candid interview with Halifax Ansah Addo on Okay FM, the 53-year-old Mrs. Benson didn’t mince words when expressing her frustrations with these claims. “I get very angry when I hear it. I joke all the time on my page. We need to stop it; there are certain things you just don’t mess with. Whoever started that narrative needs to stop it. It’s never true [sucking breasts prevent breast cancer]. How can it be? If you say sexual pleasure sucking, how?” she questioned.
In a no-nonsense fashion, Stephanie Benson dismissed the claim that breast-sucking serves as a shield against cancer.
The illustrious singer voiced concerns about the potential for misunderstanding, fearing that people might misuse this idea, wrongly believing it to be a foolproof method to ward off breast cancer.
“If that is real, why do we have radiotherapists? This is ridiculous! It prevents what? I don’t get it. It is the most irresponsible thing for anybody to say. Because some women are allowing the men to suck the breast even if they don’t enjoy it, and that’s almost like rape,” she stated. “There are people who want somebody to suck it even if they don’t want to. I don’t understand; it makes no sense to me. So please, that narrative should be stopped. It makes no sense scientifically at all.”

Mrs. Benson went on to raise a poignant point, emphasizing that if breast-sucking alone could genuinely prevent this form of cancer, it would render traditional treatment measures obsolete.
Does Sucking Breasts Reduce Chances of Cancer?
There is no scientific evidence to support the claim that sucking or fondling breasts reduces the chances of getting breast cancer. Breast cancer is a complex disease with various risk factors, and it cannot be prevented or reduced by such activities. To lower the risk of breast cancer, it’s important to focus on known preventive measures such as a healthy lifestyle, regular breast self-exams, mammograms, and consulting with healthcare professionals for guidance and screenings.
