13 sex workers charged for performing an orgy
13 sex workers have been charged and sent on remand for performing an orgy at Kireka in the outskirts of Kampala.
Apart from the 13 sex workers, 9 others who were also found participating in the orgy have not been bought to court because they are juveniles.
The woman who owns the place where the orgy was taking place has also been charged before Chief magistrate’s court at Kira presided over by magistrate Joan Aciro.
Charged for several offenses
The sex workers have been charged with several offenses including disobedience to lawful orders, negligent acts likely to spread infectious diseases, keeping a brothel, indecent practices, prostitution, and promoting the trafficking of persons.

11 of the accused pleaded guilty to the charges while two denied the charges.
The offenses attract a maximum jail sentence of three and seven years respectively.
Magistrate Aciro said, “Having accepted the charges, this court hereby convicts 11 of you on your pleas of guilty.”
Aciro said she will deliver sentences to the accused after two days.
