Sex prices in Ghana shoots through the roof

You will have to dig deeper into your pockets to afford some quality erotic time in Ghana due to the prevailing harsh economic situation.

Sex workers and escorts have hiked their prices after the cost of living shoot up. Ghana Capital attracts a variety of sex workers from the larger West Africa region with the most notable sex workers hailing from Nigeria, Ivory Coast and Liberia.

Until recently, sex workers in Ghana used to charge ¢50 ( 7 dollars ) for a short session that lasts between 15-20 minutes and ¢300 (40 dollars) for a full night. Majority of the sex workers have since increased their charges by up to 100%.

“There has been an increase in goods lately. To pay my rent is difficult now and because of that, I have increased my price,” Vivan, one of the sex workers operating in Accra told a local media.

Cost of living driving clients away

The increase in fuel prices, which has affected the prices of goods and services across most parts of the world has not spared sex workers

“Food these days is very expensive. I clothe myself, and the rest of that. So I can’t reduce my price.” she added.

The high cost of living is also reducing the number of clients since buyignsex is quickly becoming a luxury many cannot afford.

“That is chasing my clients away,” Vivian lamented.

Where to buy sex in Ghana

Lapaz, Cantonments, Osu, East Legon are just a few hotspots in the city where one can buy sex in Ghana. Sex trade in Ghana saw a brief uptick at some point in December last year and escorts would take home ¢200 for short. However, everything came tumbling down with the New Year. 

Vivian adds that on top of the prevailing economic conditions some clients also take longer to cum eating on their working time therefore they have to pay more after all time is money, right.

“Some people don’t cum quick. If you know you don’t release early you have to give her more money. You have to pay the girl well to make her happy,”
