Singer Olakira Expelled From Church After Getting Intimate With Four Females
32-year-old popular music producer and singer famed for the hit track ‘Maserati’ opened up about his past in an interview with TVC. During the interview, he revealed that he faced expulsion after getting into intimate relationships with four choristers. He revealed that the expulsion put him in a state of depression which compelled him to seek therapy so as to cope with the aftermath.
In his own words, the Maserati hitmaker expressed what impact the incident had, saying,
“I had my own issues as well. I got depressed at some point. I was unable to focus at some point. Everybody has their own struggles. I was a gospel artist some years back and had some experiences with ladies. Being involved with about four choristers led to my dismissal from the church.”
As a result, he chose to venture into secular music and ignored the gospel genre that had played a significant part in his life. Explaining the significant transition his musical career went through, Olakira said,
“You know when you sing in church and you are playing the keyboard, people get inspired. However, when I transitioned into the secular world, everything changed. The whole atmosphere was different, and I found it overwhelming. This prompted me to seek therapy to cope with the distractions and challenges.”
His revelation sheds more light on the complexities of his personal journey which have shaped his path and most decisions as a singer. On growing up in a household where he was raised by a single mother, he said that he felt more comfortable and easy in the presence of women than men adding that it played a role in how he interacted with female choristers.
