A past video of Nuru Okanga’s wife urging women to keep off from her man has elicited mixed reactions on social media. In the video, Nuru’s wife Emelda is depicted issuing a stern warning to women emphasising that her husband is fully taken and committed to their marriage.
Emelda described Okanga as a complete man adding that he’s not available for another woman. She said, “Our guests from Nairobi are all welcome here. This is our home. Anyone who wants to initiate some relationship with Okanga should know he is taken and the house is full.”

In a separate incident, Nuru disclosed that he went on separate ways with his wife since he had passionate support for the former premier. He has distanced himself from the screenshots going around social media that claim he scored 401 marks in the 2023 KCPE whose results have just been released. He said, “I am just seeing things trending online but I am yet to get the results. Let us just wait and see. I am ready for anything,”
Explaining why he sat the national examinations at his age, Nuru asserted that he aspires to vie for the MCA seat in 2027. He said,” Many people are asking why I am doing these exams, but I want to tell them that everyone has their dreams and aspirations in life. In 2027, I will be on the ballot; my father died early, so I need to have this KCPE certificate to vie for the MCA seat,”
