Bomet County detectives have arrested seven boys who recorded themselves assaulting a woman. The police report filed at Olbutyo Police Station shows that the incident took place in Chebanyi, Chepalungu with the viral video trending as ‘Sigor Boys’.

According to the report, “Following the circulation of pornography video purported to have taken place at Chebanyiny village of Kimaya sub-location m/r 990905 about 3kms west of the station, Police officers together with area chief and nyumba kumi elders conducted the operation at the said area and managed to arrest seven suspects among them two have been identified.”

Police shared that they would take the suspects to court as they continue with their investigations. According to the police, the incident happened last year. Netizens condemned the act and called for stringent measures to address future incidents. Police have held the suspects in custody for interrogation even as they continue with investigations into the incident.

The arrest happens after a video shows the men in a dimly lit room taking turns on the woman. The woman is heard screaming as one of the men rapes her while the rest of the men wit impatiently to rape her.
