Popular Citizen TV Journalist Stephen Letoo has replied to the overwhelming feedback from his fans concerning marriage. Recently, Stephen celebrated his union with his significant other Irene Renoi in a public wedding in Narok County on Saturday, April 20. He held the wedding despite his outspoken support for polygamy on social media platforms.

During a recent interview, the journalist shared, “It’s true, I’m 100 per cent polygamous. At the moment, I haven’t decided where to stop; I keep adding. The dowry keeps increasing…,” Stephen’s wedding sparked numerous reactions from social media users with his fans feeling betrayed following his decision to embrace monogamy.

In an interview with Nairobi News, Letoo responded to Netiizens’ reaction to his wedding. Letoo shared, “There’s more to the Men’s Conference than just polygamy,”

Before their public wedding, Irene and Letoo held a traditional wedding ceremony in Kilgoris that included the tradition of paying dowry. Among the celebrities who attended the public wedding include, popular comedian Oga Obinna, News anchor Swaleh Mdoe, Makori Ongechi and Chemutai Goin among other bigwigs in the media and the entertainment industry.
