The International HPV Awareness Campaign is a key initiative of the International Papillomavirus Society (IPVS) which aims to increase public awareness of the virus as part of our mission to improve understanding of HPV and the importance of prevention, screening, diagnosis and treatment of papillomavirus-related diseases.

The HPV campaign works from the belief that reducing the stigma of HPV and increasing public awareness is crucial in the global efforts to eliminate the virus and reduce the cancer burden worldwide. By educating people with the knowledge they require, the HPV campaign exists to empower society and individuals to take action towards reducing the dangers caused by HPV.

The campaign is driven by passionate IPVS members and launched four years ago and has grown to become a part of the annual calendar for several organizations that are working towards addressing HPV-related cancer globally. These organizations are composed of over 130 civil society organisations in 54 countries that have signed up as operational partners and who use evidence-based resources to raise awareness of HPV within various communities.

The members and campaign partners can access the HPV hub, an online platform that supports communication, sharing knowledge and collaboration between campaign partners keeping an interest in advocacy campaigns and public awareness.
