Country Pop Singer Maren Morris Comes Out as Bisexual During Pride Month
The singer cum songwriter Maren Morris has shared a post celebrating her new sex identity. Posting on her Instagram platform on Sunday 9 June the musician shared, “Happy to be the B in LGBTQ+ happy pride ”
The message posted was shared alongside images of Maren performing during a show from her RSVP Redux tour in Phoenix, Arizona. In some of the images, she’s depicted holding and waving a Pride flag.
People thronged the comments section with congratulatory messages with happy comments, which was a message from indie folk singer Allison.
Ponthier wrote; “HAPPY PRIDE!!!!! Thanks for being an inspiration and what a special pride this one is ”.
Nashville singer-songwriter Kate Yeager wrote: “WE love MAREN!! Proud of you!! Happy pride girlie ”.
Before coming out, Maren has been vocal to the queer community throughout her career in country pop. Two years ago, she called out the wife of country singer Jason Aldean for trans-phobic comments, writing,  “It’s so easy to, like, not be a scumbag human? Sell your clip-ins and zip it, Insurrection Barbie.”
The news comes following Maren’s divorce from Ryan Hurd, her husband in October 2023, citing differences. The duo started dating in 2015, got married in 2018 and welcomed their son Hayes in March 2020.
