Christina Shusho’s Husband Hits Back After Disclosing Why She Left Her Marriage

Pastor John Shusho has responded to his estranged wife, Tanzanian gospel musician Christina Shusho over her remarks concerning why she left her marriage. In a past interview, Ms Shusho claimed that she asked for separation from her husband in a bid to fulfil God’s calling.

In an interview with Jerusalem Church TV, Shusho shared,

“Let me be frank, I have never lied and I don’t lie. The truth is that it’s a mission. There is nothing else. The mission that God has given me in this season cannot allow me to stay where I was. I had to leave to fulfil the assignment,”

The celebrated singer revealed that her departure from the marriage was amicable. During a recent church crusade, Mr Shusho responded to his estranged comments during a sermon, asserting that his wife’s actions of leaving deeply hurt him. Mr. John shared,

“Tell your neighbour that it hurts, but God has ordained it. He will always prepare you for what is to come tomorrow. To get to a new level, you have to go through some challenges to prepare you for what is to come. You can never win without entering a contest. New level, new devil, new glory. When you come to a new level, you will face certain challenges, but God will always prepare you to overcome them for the season to come,”

The preacher further asserted, “Sometimes the preparation may not be what you expected or anticipated and because you never anticipated these new challenges, you will have to go through pain, you will be hurt but God always has a purpose for that pain. The pain is to mould you, to make you better than you were before”.

Recently, Christina has been vocal about her marriage, unlike her husband. She has openly stated that she regrets marrying at the age of 19. She further criticized her husband’s family saying that she found herself serving her husband alongside eight other siblings a thing that made her question marriage.
