BBNaija’s Phyna: I Was Geniune With Groovy

Big Brother Naija ‘Level Up’ winner Josephine Otabor alias Phyna has revealed why she broke up with reality star Groovy. Phyna made the revelation during an interview on Joy Prime. She admitted her feelings for Groovy during and also after the show were genuine but they later faded after realizing that he was just using her. The reality star revealed that she realised that Groovy was also interested in other women while they were still together. Phyna decided to revenge by playing smart at first and later ending the relationship.

The Edo-born reality star said that a reality star in the house made her realize what she felt for Grovy was not reciprocated. Phyna claimed that she overheard an unidentified woman asking Groovy to stick with her since they believed that she was strong outside the show and also had a large loyal fan base that would always save her by voting for her.

Phyna asserted that she still chose to play dumb and continue with the relationship for the sake of the show and also tried to work things out even outside the show but things didn’t work out.

Groovy responded to the relationship allegations made by Phyna on his Twitter page. He stated that Phyna had actually asked for friendship as opposed to a relationship. He insisted that Phyna should take responsibility for her actions as opposed to blaming him for the outcome. He tweeted, “You’ll ask for friendship today; tomorrow Groovy wasn’t genuine!”
