Social media users have slammed a Kenyan woman for sharing her alleged private chats on WhatsApp with the late athlete Kelvin Kiptum. In the chats, the lady shared a couple of posts mourning Kiptum, claiming they had planned to go out on a date before his sudden demise.
The Kenyan Tiktoker popularly known as Last Born Towoo shared a 10-minute clip of a WhatsApp video call with the late athlete reminiscing their sweet moments together. ” Why wouldn’t you wait a little longer for me my dear? Why? Thursday wasn’t far why am I still in disbelief? ” Last Born captioned the video. Towoo also shared another post hinting that the late Kiptum used to text her every morning and evening. “No more video calls, good morning and night texts. It is hard for me @ KelvinKiptum”

Another Kenyan woman popularly known as @jeylaaa.jeylaa also stirred confusion among Netizens after posting a photo of herself standing beside Kiptum suggesting the duo had a close connection. Jeylaa didn’t disclose the nature of their relationship leaving Netizens under speculation.
Kelvin Kiptum was married to Asenath Rotich with whom they were blessed with two babies. Asenath was the only woman that was known to the family. She described the late marathoner as a doting father to their children.
