Actress Iyabo Ojo Reveals Why She Can’t Marry Paul Okoye
Nollywood actress Iyabo Ojo has shared on social media that she is not cut out for marriage or bearing kids adding that she’s only for enjoyment. Iyabo, a divorcee reiterated her intention not to settle for marriage with her partner, music executive Paul Okoye alias Paulo adding that their relationship is solely for companionship.
On her Instagram page, Iyabo shared, “Marriage – done and dusted. Had kids – done and dusted. Raised my kids – done and dusted. Next stage: Enjoyment! Enjoyment! Enjoyment!”Iyabo added that people should stick to what makes them happy and whatever works for them. She wrote, “This is me. Do you ….. do what makes you happy and what works for you,”
Iyabo Ojo is a well-known Nigerian actress, entrepreneur and filmmaker who has been active in the Nigerian film industry popularly known as Nollywood for several years.
She has appeared in several movies and has gained recognition for her versatility. Apart from her being an actress, Iyabo has ventured into film production. She’s respected in the Nigerian entertainment space and has a huge following on her social media platforms.
After bearing and raising two children in a failed marriage at the age of 21 years she revealed that she sees herself as a woman who knows the ins and outs of marriage although everyone has various ways of coping with marriage.
“It sounds funny but you know, there are different coping mechanisms because these days, marriage is not what it used to be when our parents got married.
“Marriage is a little bit muddled up now. And people are a little bit more individualistic than they used to be before. Nobody wants to serve anybody. Everybody wants to get their own. So, that’s where the problem starts.”
