Amerado: Dating Rumours With Delay Helped My Career
Ghana-based rap sensation Amerado has revealed to social media fans that he relished the buzz that surrounded the rumours of being involved romantically with popular media personality, Delay.
Last year speculations about their relationship gained momentum online. The duo refused to confirm or deny the rumours for several months. Speaking during Prime Morning Show, Roselyn Felli stated that there was no real relationship between the two but he celebrated the hype that was spreading online.
I enjoyed the hype from people who believed I was dating Delay. The attention and discussions were entertaining and brought much focus to my work.”
Amerado appreciated how the speculations made his name continue trending and added an element to his public persona, despite the romantic ties being false. He clarified,
“Our interactions were purely professional and friendly, but the public’s reaction to our chemistry was something I found amusing and beneficial to my career,”
The 27-year-old shared that he was in a relationship when the rumour was spreading online and it made his partner feel uneasy about the whispers that linked him to Delay. He, however, noted that she came to terms with the shortcomings of being in the entertainment scene.
